VirtualOutcomes now have a number of modules available to support the Hypertension Case-Finding service.  VirtualOutcomes provides free training for community pharmacies in Devon

Pharmacy Training:

• Hypertension Case Finding Service
  • Module 1 – Pharmacy team training
    • Designed to bring the whole team up to speed about the service and explain the important role they can play
  • Module 2 – Pharmacist training
    • Designed to talk the pharmacist through how to deliver the service and what to look for
• AF Training
  • If an irregular pulse is detected the pharmacist needs to know why this is important and what to do about it.
  • This module looks at the link between AF and stroke
  • It then looks at treatment pathways.
• GP Surgery Training
  • Module to bring the service to life for surgery teams
    • This is designed to give the surgery an overview of the service and how they can work with their local pharmacies to maximise its potential
