Temporary extension of the Locally Commissioned Pharmacy First Emergency Supply Service for visitors to the area: 24th July to the 1st September 2017 inclusive.

July 21, 2017

Due to the expected increase in demand over the summer holiday period, NEW Devon CCG is extending the availability of the local service to cover provision of emergency repeat medications to visitors Mondays to Fridays for the period Monday 24th July to the 1st September 2017 inclusive. This is in addition to the usual weekend and bank holidays service which is available to both visitors and local residents.

If your pharmacy is already signed up to the Pharmacy First Emergency Supply Service, as there are no specific accreditation requirements for pharmacists we would expect the vast majority of pharmacies to be able to offer the service.  Pharmacists should be familiar with the service specification that details the requirements for the service.

This does not apply to pharmacies in the South Devon & Torbay CCG area of Devon in the following towns;

  • Chudleigh
