Aims of the session:
To update local community pharmacists in the use of oral emergency contraception PGDs for levonorgestrel (levonelle) and ulipristal acetate (ellaone) PGDs
Objectives of the session:
- To explain the key features of the three types of emergency contraception (including emergency copper IUD)
- To consider how levonorgestrel and ulipristal acetate fit into the provision of EHC in the pharmacy for under 25’s.
- To develop confidence and competence in identifying the most appropriate emergency contraception using available PGDs
