Electronic Repeat Dispensing (ERD) Engagement Event

Windsor House, Plymouth

Electronic Repeat Dispensing (eRD)

The Medicines Optimisation Team and NHS Digital are hosting evening events dedicated to raising awareness of the benefits of the Electronic Repeat Dispensing (eRD) system and to encourage GP practices and community pharmacies to work together to develop an implementation plan.

These evenings are aimed at anyone who has a hand in the repeat prescription process in GP practices and community pharmacies within a local area. The aim is to encourage closer working relationships and build expertise locally. There will be an opportunity for practices and community pharmacies to work together to discuss an implementation plan, hence we have organised the four events by geographical area.

If you are unable to attend the evening designated to your area but would still like to find out more about eRD you are welcome to attend another date. However the Practice staff present may not be local to your pharmacy.

These events will take place at Windsor House from 18.30 to 21.00 on:

Tuesday 20th February 2018: for community pharmacies and GP practices in the Plymstock, Plympton, Ivybridge, South Brent, Kingsbridge and Salcombe areas

Wednesday 28th February 2018: for community pharmacies and GP practices in Plymouth located North of the A38 and up to, and including, Tavistock

Tuesday 6th March 2018: for community pharmacies and GP practices in Plymouth located south of the St Budeaux Bypass A374

Wednesday 14th March 2017: for community pharmacies and GP practices in Plymouth located between St Budeaux Bypass A374 and the A38

We would encourage prescribers, practice managers, prescribing clerks, community pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and dispensers to attend. Stephen O’Reilly from NHS Digital will lead the evening and will be on-hand to answer all your questions.

Light refreshments will be available from 18.30 with the aim of starting the presentation at 19.00, parking is available on site.

If you are interested in attending please email lynn.bailey@nhs.net stating your name, contact details and any dietary requirements you may have.
