NEW Devon CCG is launching a community pharmacy-led pilot service to support patients prescribed analgesia for the management of non-cancer chronic pain. Recent concerns have been highlighted in “Opioids Aware” which can be accessed at http://www.fpm.ac.uk/faculty-of-pain-medicine/opioids-aware
The training evening will accredit pharmacists to deliver the new MUR and NMS style services and include a presentation from Dr Anthony Davies, Consultant in Pain Medicine at Derriford Hospital. Spaces will be limited to two places per pharmacy, but locums and peripatetic staff from the Plymouth area are also welcome to attend.
