Chlamydia Screening & Talking to Young People Training

Aim: To explore the Community Pharmacist’s role in the provision of Chlamydia screening for young people aged 13-24

At the end of the session the pharmacist will have:

An overview of Chlamydia Trachomatis infection and the National Chlamydia Screening Programme

 An understanding of the local area Chlamydia screening pathway and the pharmacy Preventx screening kit

 An understanding of how the consultation with young people can impact positively on the screening and signposting process

Attending this training is mandatory for all pharmacists (and locums) delivering EHC and Chlamydia screening in Devon and Torbay.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REPEAT THIS SESSION IF YOU ATTENDED IN SEPT / OCT 2015 – the training is valid for 3 years

The training is open to staff working in Torbay and Devon; please clarify your pharmacy location on booking to enable you to be supplied with the correct local training pack.
